Pseudo-difference hierarchy associated with the intermediate long wave equation

A hierarchy of nonlinear differential-difference equations is presented, derived from a pseudo-difference spectral problem. It is shown that, with a suitable choice of boundary conditions, the integrable intermediate long wave (ILW) equation and its higher symmetries result. Elliptic solutions of the ILW equation are also constructed in terms of associated constrained Calogero-Moser systems.
